As Cocogen celebrates its 60th anniversary, it resembles the attributes of a diamond, remaining strong and resilient amidst the challenges it faced since 1963.


Started as Allied Guarantee Insurance Co. at the time of its establishment, the company has grown to be a reputable institution creating its mark in the insurance industry as one of the leading non-life insurance providers in the Philippines.


Now, officially named as Cocogen Insurance, Inc. following a synergy of branding with its parent company – Cocolife, Cocogen is achieving milestone after milestone for six decades now.


Service Excellence

Cocogen takes pride in reaping international accolades from different award-giving organizations. The company was recognized as the Best General Insurance Provider in the Philippines for 2022 by the World Business Outlook. In addition, the International Business Magazine also awarded Cocogen as the country’s Leading General Insurance Company on the same year.


These awards only prove that Cocogen continues to provide quality services earning the trust and confidence of its clients as their partner in taking care of their life’s treasures.

 

Innovative Products

The recent pandemic years were a time of innovation. Cocogen took the initiative to advocate and focused in offering relevant and timely products and services starting with COVID-19 Assist+, which was awarded by the International Finance Magazine as the Most Innovative New Non-Life Insurance Product for 2020.


With the increased usage of gadgets while staying at home during the quarantine period, Pro-Tech Computer Insurance and Parcel Protect were launched. These two products were considered the perfect companion for those who are either working or studying from home and also to support small businesses that transact online with the emergence and sudden adaptation to e-commerce.

 

Cocogen’s latest innovation is close to the heart of fur parents as it introduced a comprehensive pet insurance to cover dogs and cats against accidents and illnesses with Pet Furtect. The package automatically covers the fur parents with personal accident insurance. Pet Furtect was officially launched to the public in October 2022 during a Carnival Pet Fashion Show held at Vista Mall Taguig.


These new products are only some of Cocogen’s wide array of insurance solutions designed to protect everything a Filipino values.


Moving to a new era of operations, Cocogen looks forward to expanding the current insurance products’ reach through e-commerce, tie-ups, and expansion of cover.

 

Enhanced Operations

From manual operations and limited technological processes since it started, Cocogen kept abreast with the ever-changing business landscape to cope with new trends and advancements.


The company implemented system enhancements including automations not only to improve processes, provide convenience to customers, but also to ensure ease of monitoring for internal stakeholders. These included online quotations, purchase and payment at the website, report generation in the ePartner Hub, and system-generated statement of account.


Data security measures and other requirements for offsite work were put in place that enabled the smooth transition to the work-from-home setup when pandemic hit in 2020.


The safety and productivity of the employees both for those working onsite as part of the skeleton workforce and offsite has been a primary concern. Regular communication and reminders about COVID-19 and safety protocols were disseminated. A vaccination program was also arranged.


Cocogen also invested in different online tools to further improve the day-to-day operations to increase productivity and maximize online channels for collaboration.
