In boxing, John Marvin and Eumir Felix Marcial garnered a gold medal each for their bouts. The Philippines’ men’s fours lawn bowls team won an unexpected gold. Competing against another Filipina, Chezka Centeno bagged the women’s 9-ball singles title (billiards), while Carlos Biado scored a gold in the men’s 9-ball. To top it all off, Dines Dumaan earned the Philippines’ last gold medal as he reigned supreme in the men’s pencak silat tanding putra class A (45-50 kg) category. The Philippine Athletics Team, comprised of 389 athletes, won 24 gold, 33 silver, and 64 bronze medals – a total of 121 medals for this year’s SEA Games run.
